The first documented resurrection is also related to these lands. Herodotus describes a demonstration made by the Getae king Zalmoksis. After a ritual feast with selected people where he talks to them that the death has no power over them he enters a specially designed tomb and remains there for three years. "On the fourth year he appeared in front of them and they believed his words" says Herodotus. After meeting Zalmoksis Pythagoras accepts the idea for immortality and introduces it to the Ancient Greek philosophy.
