Clay tablets with writings from the IV millennia B. C. have been discovered at several places along the Bulgarian lands. They are recognized as a scientific sensation because the writings over them are older than the oldest writings found on the Island of Crete. They are the evidence that the culture of the people of these lands is measurable to the civilizations of Mala Asia, The Near East and Egypt. The Balkan Peninsula has been one of the centers of the most developed ancient civilizations. Unfortunately, no one can read the writings on the clay tablets.
