The Malamovo Monastery lies at a distance of 12 km east of station Dragoman in the middle of a wave-like broken location. There is little evidence of its existence. From the monastery are preserved the church, parts of the housing and farm buildings. The church is a small single-chamber and single-apside one. According to the requirements of the Turks its southern side is slightly dug into the inclined terrain. The church is built of a solid stone masonry. Few of the mural decorations of the interior of the church have been preserved. The paintings are from the end of XVI c. until the second half of XVII c. Comparatively well-preserved is the scene of the Doomsday which allows to be traced the character and the artistic qualities of the whole church. The figures are proportional, the poses are natural and convincing, the faces with beautiful ovals, straight noses and expressive looks. The clothes' drapery is represented with quite precise line painting. The colour scheme includes only light ochre, pale blue and green.
