The Mislovishitzki Monastery lies at a distance of 2 km from the village of Velinovo and 1 km from the village of Filipovtzi, Pernik District. The ancient monastery complex is situated at a beautiful location by the Mislovishitzka River between mountainous massifs. The monastery has been established during the Second Bulgarian Kingdom. From the monastery complex are preserved the church, two housing buildings and two farming buildings. The church is typical for the early centuries of the Ottoman yoke. It is a single-nave, single-apside building with a semi-cylindrical vault. The church has been decorated with interesting murals of which today are preserved the images from the altar part and the southern wall. Even these little fragments allow us to judge for the thematic profusion of the paintings. Stylistically the murals date back to the second half of XVI c. They are of specific colouring of cold green, pale blue and pale reseda tones.
