The monastery "Uspenie Bogorodichno"/The Assumption/ in the village of Arbanassi, Veliko Turnovo District, is located to the northwest of the village. The temple of the monastery dates from XVII c. and has been the parish church of the big for its time settlement. The oldest church in the monastery is the "Uspenie Bogorodichno" church. It is a single-nave, non-dome church with a complex architectural design covered with a semi-cylindrical vault. The walls of the interior of the church and the chapel are covered with paintings from two stages. The decoration is in the spirit of the mural paintings from XVII c. The wood-carved iconostasis is made in 1867. There are some interesting icons on it such as: "The New Testament Trinity", "The Guiding Virgin Mary", "Jesus the Almighty". In the narthex are the icons: ‘Virgin Mary and the apostles" (XVII-XVIII c.), "The Assumption" (XVIII c.), "Saint Nikola" (XVIII c.), "Joan the Baptist- angel of the desert" (XVII-XVIII c.), "Joan the Baptist" (XVIII c.).
