The Rakovitza Monastery "Sveta Troitza"/Holy Trinity/ is situated under the Chernoglav Peak by the village of Rakovitza. There is a hypothesis that at this site there has been an old monastery during the Middle Ages. The monastery has been destroyed several times during the Ottoman yoke. The church is a cross-dome one painted by two representatives of the Tryavna school - Krastyo Zahariev and Dosyo Koev. The limited space of the church is the reason for the scarce representation of only the most essential scenes. Interesting are: "Bogoroditza Shirshaya Nebes", "Jesus the Almighty", "Doomsday". In the monastery is opened the first school for the Northwestern Bulgaria. The leaders of the national liberation organizations from Kula, Vidin, Belogradchik and Lom also gather at the monastery.
