The town of Gulyantzi has a population of 4 000 inhabitants and lies at a distance of 34 km north of the district town. Gulyanzi is the municipal administrative centre of 11 settlements. The town is founded in XVIII c. The region is specialized in the production of grains, technical cultures, vegetables and vine-growing.
