The town of Vulchedrum has a population of 5 000 inhabitants and lies at a distance of 35 km north of the district centre. The town is the municipal centre of 10 component settlements. In the vicinities of the town have been discovered the remains of a medieval settlement and a necropolis. On the territory of the municipality are grown technical cultures, tobacco, vines and vegetables. Tock breeding is also well-developed.
