The town of Kermen has a population of 2 000 inhabitants and lies at a distance of 25 km southeast of the district town. In the vicinity of the town have been discovered a prehistoric settlement mound, tomb mounds and the remains of a medieval settlement. There is evidence of the existence of the settlement in the Ottoman documents from 1488. The town specializes in the textile production and the vine-growing.
